Marissa is a doctorate level, licensed acupuncturist, in the state of California, and she is nationally certified by NCCAOM®. She graduated from Emperor's College in 2015 with a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and she went back later that year for two more years of study to earn her doctorate degree in 2017. She is also a certified practitioner of Functional Medicine, has studied abroad and earned certification in facial rejuvenation from Meijing University in Japan, and she is certified in Microneedling.
Born and raised in Burbank, CA. She attended undergrad at Cal State University - Northridge, with a bachelor of science degree in Health Education. Some of her hobbies include playing tennis, going on trail runs, cooking, and enjoying time with her family and doggies.
